Asia Economist- Hedge Fund- Hong Kong
We are working on behalf of a leading hedge fund based in Hong Kong, and we're on the lookout for a talented Asia Economist to join their team. You'll be covering Asia ex-China, focusing on a variety of countries and regions. If you have 2-6 years of experience, are already in Hong Kong, and are eager to dive into the dynamic world of Asian economics, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse economic data and trends across Asia ex-China, including countries like Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
Provide insightful research reports and analysis to support investment decisions.
Stay abreast of macroeconomic developments, monetary policies, and geopolitical events impacting the region.
Collaborate with our investment team to develop strategies based on your economic insights.s to clients, sales teams, and trading desks.
Requirements:
2-6 years of experience in economic research, preferably in Asia.
Currently based in Hong Kong with existing work authorization.
Background in economic research from sell side, buy side, or central banking.
Experience in conducting independent research and producing high-quality reports.
PhD in Economics preferred, but a Master's degree is acceptable.
Ability to adapt and pivot quickly, covering various countries and regions within Asia.
Bright, solid analytical skills with a passion for understanding economic dynamics.
