Data Engineer – Asset Manager – London
We are partnering with a leading asset manager that is significantly expanding its data capabilities and looking to hire a Data Engineer to help shape and develop their modern data platform.
This role is ideal for someone with solid foundations in SQL and Python, who enjoys building reliable data products, designing scalable data pipelines, and is comfortable working across a modern cloud data environment.
Key responsibilities:
Design, build, and enhance end-to-end data solutions using SQL, Python, and strong data transformation principles
Play a key role in transitioning datasets into Snowflake and building scalable, cloud-native Python data pipelines that power analytics and reporting
Contribute to the continuous development and optimisation of the company’s Snowflake data platform, ensuring high data quality, consistency, and performance
Manage day-to-day data operations, including iterative improvements within the current SQL environment and occasional work in C#
Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver scalable, well-structured data outputs
Support the company’s ongoing focus on data governance and platform-wide enhancements as the Snowflake environment evolves
We are looking for:
Strong skills in SQL, Python, and C#, with hands-on experience building, maintaining, or enhancing data products and pipelines
A good understanding of data platform principles, data maintenance practices, and quality control
Someone comfortable working across cloud-based data ecosystems, with direct or early-stage exposure to Snowflake and modern Python development frameworks
Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
