Senior Asia Macro Strategist- Hedge Fund- Hong Kong

We are currently partnering with an elite macro hedge fund based in Hong Kong who are currently looking for someone to lead their macro strategy function in Asia. The role will be covering Asia broadly, but with a specific focus on China and Japan, as these are the regions that the PMs are most interested in. The role sits within a centralised research function, and this role will lead the support for multiple PMs who are interested in the region. The fund and the team are extremely well regarded/ experienced within the space, and are looking for a top individual to join their team.

The requirements-

  • 8+ Years’ experience covering Asia Macro strategy in an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or Asset Manager

  • Experience covering Asia from a macro perspective, ideally China and Japan

  • Some quantitative skills/ experience: Python, econometric modelling, quantitative analysis

  • Experience working with PMs (either internally at a hedge fund or externally at an investment bank)
