Equity Analyst (Japan Generalist) - London

A globally respected asset management firm is looking to hire an Equity Analyst to join its investment team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with one of the industry's most established long-only investment houses, focusing specifically on Japanese equities.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of listed Japanese companies across various sectors

• Produce high-conviction investment recommendations for inclusion in long-only portfolios

• Collaborate closely with global portfolio managers and research analysts

• Attend company meetings, earnings calls, and industry conferences

• Maintain up-to-date financial models and research coverage on assigned names

• Monitor macroeconomic and sector-specific trends impacting the Japanese market

Candidate Requirements:

• Native or fluent proficiency in Japanese and strong command of English

• 3+ years’ experience covering Japanese equities in a buy-side or sell-side role

• Strong analytical skills and a fundamental, bottom-up investment approach

• A relevant academic background (e.g. finance, economics, or a related discipline)
