Investor Relations / Business Development

Octavius Finance has been exclusively retained by a highly regarded long/short equity investment firm to appoint an experienced Investor Relations / Business Development professional.

This is an opportunity to join an established investment platform with a strong long-term track record, working alongside a highly respected investment team as the business enters its next phase of growth. The successful individual will play a key role in capital raising, investor relationship management, and helping to expand the firm's institutional investor base.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing business development and capital raising initiatives across institutional investors.

• Building and maintaining relationships with pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, consultants, and other sophisticated allocators.

• Managing the full fundraising process from initial engagement through to allocation.

• Acting as a trusted point of contact for existing investors, delivering a high standard of ongoing relationship management.

• Working closely with the investment team to communicate portfolio positioning, performance, and market views to prospective and existing investors.

• Representing the firm at investor meetings, conferences, and industry events.

• Helping shape the firm's broader investor relations strategy and supporting the continued growth of the platform.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with individuals who possess:

• A proven track record in institutional business development or investor relations within a hedge fund or alternative asset manager.

• Existing relationships across institutional investors, consultants, family offices, or wealth management channels.

• A strong understanding of long/short equity strategies and the hedge fund industry.

• Demonstrable experience raising capital and managing sophisticated investor relationships.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies clearly.

• A commercial mindset, entrepreneurial approach, and desire to contribute to the long-term growth of the business.
