Senior Equity Analyst, Asia Financials – Leading Investment Management Firm, Singapore

Our client, a leading global investment management firm, is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join its Singapore-based investment team as a Senior Analyst covering Asian financials, including banks, insurance, and asset managers.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a globally respected investment environment, supporting both long-only and relative/absolute return strategies, while benefiting from mentorship by senior sector specialists.

The successful candidate will lead fundamental research efforts, generate differentiated investment ideas, build and maintain complex financial models, and provide insights that directly inform portfolio decisions. This role is ideal for investment professionals with significant sector experience who are looking to take a senior role with broad responsibility and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous bottom-up fundamental analysis of Asian financial companies (banks, insurers, asset managers), across both developed, and emerging markets

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models and valuations

  • Generate actionable investment ideas and prepare high-quality investment memos

  • Monitor market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting portfolio companies

  • Engage directly with company management teams and industry contacts

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the collective expertise of the team

Requirements

  • 10+ years+ of relevant experience in equity research or investment analysis (buy side or sell side)

  • Deep understanding of the Asian financials sector, including banks, insurance, and asset managers across both developed and emerging Asian markets

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills

  • CFA accreditation highly desirable, but not strictly required

  • Proven track record of independent thinking and generating actionable investment insights

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

  • Intellectual curiosity, discipline, and a commitment to ethical investment practices
