Global Equity Analyst – London

We are working with an established asset manager looking to hire a Global Equity Analyst into a successful, fundamentally driven investment team in London.

The team manages a global, benchmark-agnostic equity strategy with a value-oriented investment approach and meaningful exposure to both developed and emerging markets.

This is a broad generalist role suited to an investor who can identify opportunities across sectors and geographies, communicate stock ideas clearly and contribute to the positioning of the wider portfolio. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team and will have significant scope to develop their responsibilities over time.

The role will involve:

• Generating and researching fundamental equity ideas across global markets

• Presenting clear and concise investment recommendations

• Identifying gaps, risks and opportunities within the existing portfolio

• Looking for patterns and themes across sectors and regions

• Conducting company meetings and maintaining relationships with management teams

• Supporting the team in building a diversified and defensively positioned portfolio

• Contributing to thematic research and basket-based investment ideas where appropriate

The successful candidate will have:

• Approximately 5–10 years of fundamental equity research experience

• A strong understanding of company analysis, valuation and stock selection

• The ability to communicate an investment thesis clearly, without overcomplicating the message

• A curious, independent and commercially minded approach to research

• The maturity to work autonomously without requiring close management

• The ability to assess individual stocks within the context of the overall portfolio

• Experience across multiple sectors or regions, rather than an overly narrow specialism

• A value-oriented mindset and an appreciation of dividend-paying companies

Experience researching emerging markets, including Latin America, would be particularly relevant. Exposure to areas such as technology, infrastructure or pharmaceuticals would also be useful, although the team is open to different sector backgrounds.

Candidates from long-only or equity long/short backgrounds will be considered. Those coming from long/short strategies must demonstrate strong fundamental, single-stock research experience beyond pair trading.

This is a long-term appointment with the opportunity to become an increasingly important member of the investment team and take on broader portfolio responsibilities over time.
