Developed Market Rates Strategist (Associate / VP) – Singapore
We’re working with a leading global investment institution seeking a Developed Market Rates Strategist to join their Macro Research & Strategy team in Singapore. This is a high-impact role within a highly collaborative environment, ideal for someone who thrives on macroeconomic research and wants to help shape investment strategy across global developed markets.
The Opportunity
In this position, you’ll focus on interest rate strategy within developed markets, with a strong preference for experience in Japan or U.S. rates, though broader DM macro backgrounds are also welcomed. Working closely with portfolio managers and senior strategists, you’ll interpret economic data, track global policy developments, and contribute directly to forward-looking investment views. The firm offers a clear growth pathway, with the intention to train and develop the successful candidate into a country lead over time.

Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth macro research on developed economies, with emphasis on interest rate markets
Formulate investment recommendations informed by market trends and policy shifts
Develop structured frameworks for market monitoring and scenario planning
Collaborate with economists, policy institutions, and industry experts to stay ahead of key developments
Support the investment decision-making process through concise and impactful reporting
What We’re Looking For:
2–6 years’ experience in macroeconomic research or strategy, with strong developed market rates exposure (Japan or U.S. preferred)
Deep interest in global macro trends, policy analysis, and capital markets
Strong technical and analytical capabilities; experience in asset allocation is a plus
Clear communicator who can distill complexity into actionable insights
Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-disciplinary environment
