Hedge Fund Analyst (Generalist Private Equity Backgrounds) – London

We are working with a hedge fund that employ a private equity style approach to investing, making high conviction investments with a long-term horizon. The group are looking to expand their investment team with the addition of an analyst to work across both long only and absolute return strategies.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Equity professional to join a boutique public markets investor, and would suit professionals working in a generalist environment, looking to and apply their knowledge of private markets to publicly traded equities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of companies, industries, and market trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.

• Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment strategies and assess potential returns.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of current and prospective investments, including analyzing financial statements, conducting valuation analysis, and assessing risk factors.

Requirements:

• ~1 – 3 years Private Equity experience, across either growth or buyout.

• You must have generalist transaction experience across industry subsectors.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
