EM Asia Rates & FX Strategist – Singapore

We’re working with a leading global multi-manager hedge fund looking to hire an EM Asia Rates & FX Strategist into their Singapore-based Macro pod. This is a role with direct exposure to PMs, focused on generating high-conviction, actionable trade ideas across Asian emerging markets.

The Opportunity
Sitting within a dedicated EM Macro pod, you will focus exclusively on EM Asia rates and FX, developing differentiated macro views and translating them into tradeable opportunities.

This role offers close alignment with risk-takers and a clear path toward deeper involvement in the investment decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate actionable trade ideas across EM Asia rates and FX markets

• Analyse regional macro drivers including central bank policy, inflation, growth, and capital flows

• Build frameworks to track liquidity conditions, policy cycles, and cross-market dynamics

• Work closely with PMs to translate macro views into positioning and trade structures

• Continuously monitor markets and adjust views in a fast-moving environment

• Communicate insights clearly and concisely to support investment decisions

What We’re Looking For

• 5-8 years’ experience in EM Asia macro strategy, rates, or FX (buy-side or sell-side)

• Demonstrated ability to develop and express trade ideas with clear rationale

• Strong understanding of Asia macro dynamics and policy frameworks

• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex macro themes into actionable insights

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
